(Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority) Provides an integrated, systematic approach to the development and purchase of the necessary vaccines, drugs, therapies, and diagnostic tools for public health medical emergencies such as pandemic influenza or emerging infectious diseases, and national health security such as chemical, biological, radiological nuclear accidents, incidents and attacks. This is a larger NIH funding vehicle; an indirect rate must be negotiated.
